The beginning

Toft Dairy started in 1900 in Sandusky, Ohio — Ohio's oldest dairy — with a simple bet: that you could make ice cream as good as anywhere in America if you started with the best ingredients you could find and didn't compromise. More than a century later, we still haven't.

We built relationships with thirteen Ohio family farms within 50 miles of our location. Their milk became our milk. Their rBST-free, full-fat commitment became our standard.
